Our existence Is resistence

One campaign, called for us “The Future for Hispanic Community.”  I live in Maryland where the Hispanic population is large, about 6% state’s population. We are workers, good people, we work for a better future. We are not criminals, we don’t steal jobs. Some people do not see the best of us. But if you are migrating you have already begun to see  that continuing  your life in a new environment is not always a fairy tale.

The President Donald Trump has a very different outlook on Latinos. In his announcement, he said “When Mexico sends its people, they’re not sending their best. They’re not sending you. They’re not sending you. They’re sending people who have lots of problems, and they’re bringing those problems with us. They’re bringing drugs. They’re bringing crime. They’re rapists. And some, I assume, are good people.” He said.

My first thought is how can a political person treat other in that way because we can not all be criminals. When the campaign began and we started to know about Trump’s ideas, we all started to worry because the chances of winning were many and my  future would be in his hands.

The elections day, I did not have the right to vote, so I went home to take some rest. In the morning  when I get up the first thing I did was to see my phone and look for the news who had won. At that moment a tear fell for my cheeks it was a strong feeling inside my heart because we leave our family to be able to come to a country that we do not know, just to have a better life, finding a place with a better opportunity for our families but from that day our dreams could end.

According to “How do Birds Stay Warm,” “As the swallows migrate from North to South for otherwise a better place. The longer days of summer in the North provide greater opportunities for breeding birds to feed their chicks.” The human migration is to travel to this country, supporting obstacles in the way, crossing different environments, looking for the warmth of the American Dream.
